"The Festival of Life"

A celebration of life through flow arts, live music, visual arts, and unity

OUR STORY

Festavita began as a "celebration of life party" for mutual fallen friend Kim Griffith. Beloved by many people, several local musicians and flow artists volunteered their time to perform in her honor. While planning the party, EmJ suggested making it an annual event not just in honor of her, but in honor of ALL of our fallen friends. Randy, Mike, and Bodreau had already been discussing the idea of starting a small festival based around flow arts and live bands, and the decision was made to combine these two ideas into one big annual "celebration of life" festival.

The idea is for all of us to come together once a year in solidarity and use art, music, and performing arts to celebrate life. Not just the lives of those who we have lost, but also to show appreciation for the lives of those who are still with us, as well as celebrating each of our own gift of life!

In the beginning, this will remain the small private party that it began as; featuring mostly local bands and artists, and taking place on a private property. With each passing year though, we hope that our celebration keeps growing to include more and more people and artists, and eventually becomes a weekend long public festival with camping included.  As we grow, we will never lose sight of our core values of unity, togetherness, and the celebration and appreciation of life. Come join us in this journey!
